Carrie Contey, PhD

Carrie Contey, PhD is an internationally recognized coach, consultant, speaker, educator and author. She appeared on The Today Show, CBS Radio and in newspapers including The Boston Globe and The Star-Ledger, among others. Her passion is providing people with the support, information and tools to create conscious, connected and balanced lives and to live with wide open and courageous hearts. She earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a specialty in prenatal and perinatal psychology. She holds an M.A. in prenatal and perinatal psychology from Santa Barbara Graduate Institute as well as an M.Ed. in health education and health promotion from the University of Texas at Austin. Carrie is the co-founder of the Slow Family Living movement. She has done extensive personal and professional research around what it means to be a whole, happy human.
