This presentation will cover the benefits of using parent-reported assessment tools in the care of infants and children with feeding difficulties, present information on several assessment tools available for use with infants and children, and describe several case studies using the assessment tools.

Britt Pados, PhD, RN, NNP-BC, CLC, FAHA, FNAP

Britt Pados is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, Certified Lactation Counselor, and Certified Trauma-Informed Professional. She is a clinician, with a background of caring for medically complex infants in the neonatal ICU, and currently owns her own private practice providing breastfeeding and bottle-feeding support to infants and families in the community. She is a researcher and has published over 50 articles related to feeding in infants and young children. She is also a mom of three, including a set of twins who were born preterm and a full-term baby who refused all bottles.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be in writing and will incur a $10 fee. If more than 10% of the course has been viewed, we are unable to issue a refund. If the Chicago Feeding Group or speaker should need to remove the course, course fees will be refunded or transferred to another course at the discretion of the participant.

CEUs

Certificates will be issued verifying participation in two (2) hours of continuing education once a passing grade is received on the quiz. Check with your professional organizations licensing bodies to determine exactly what may be accepted for you. This course is eligible for ASHA’s professional development hour requirements.
